Nia Konstantinova is a Bulgarian - Dutch cultural professional taking the roles of a visual artist, producer, PR and researcher who is currently based in Rotterdam. At the moment she is contributing to the PR & Communications team of WORM Rotterdam. Konstantinova's first film which explores homosexuality and post-colonialism, Heart of Hunger (2018) won Silver Leopard at the 71st Locarno Film Festival. Currently, she is an assistant producer of Feast, the first feature film of Dutch director Tim Leyendekker.
Previous working experience includes project manager and PR at Print Room in Rotterdam, Academie Minerva, Haarlemse Lente, Nieuwe Vide. In 2017 she was a junior programmer in Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art in the context of Studium Witte de With Class'17.
As an artist, she has exhibited internationally in venues such as Sign (Groningen, The Netherlands), Foundation for Contemporary Art and Media (Sofia, Bulgaria), University of Art Vienna (Vienna, Austria), New Bridge Project Space (Newcastle, UK), The Performance Bar (Rotterdam, The Netherlands). As well as selected completed artistic residencies such as Kunsthuis SYB (The Netherlands), EEA (Berlin), Asematila (Helsinki), Gallery Bokboden (Bergen, Norway), Tomma Rum (Sweden), EAST SIDE WEST SIDE (Sofia, Bulgaria).
